Sedgemoor Auction Centre

As an integral part of our estate, Sedgemoor Auction Centre opened its doors in 2008.

Sedgemoor Auction Centre is sited adjacent to a prehistoric animal gathering site which lends itself to this purpose built, privately owned auction centre we see today. The auction centre replaces Highbridge and Taunton livestock markets as well as offering businesses, shops and offices a base and modern facilities to the local community.

Cattle • Dairy • Sheep • Pigs • Poultry • Machinery • Crops

Regular markets are held each week on Mondays and Saturdays, with additional specialist sales held on Thursdays.

Orange Market for Prime Cattle, Barren Cows & Store Cattle from TB Restricted Holdings are held monthly.

The auction centre, partner managed by Greenslade Taylor Hunt, was built after an initial survey conducted by the Regional Development Agency which recognised that original livestock markets had outgrown their town centre locations and there was a need to move to a location on a regional scale. However, the historic links to the community were to be strengthened by offering rural and local businesses a platform to promote themselves under the banner of regional rural businesses from within the auction centre and surrounding area.

Regular auctions are held each week on Wednesdays and  Thursdays.

Valuations are available online or at the GTH office at Sedgemoor Auction Centre office throughout the foolowing times:
Monday – Thursday 10am – 4pm
